Well, I decided to blog this because I think is worth explaining it a bit.
I have been messing around with glc on Ubuntu Jaunty from
http://nullkey.ath.cx/projects/glc and testing some games with it for posting high quality YouTube videos. My favorites for recording are Tremulous and FlightGear flight simulator, but I'm planning on testing more FOSS games and other OpenGL software I can find it useful for.
My all time love is flight simulation. Lately I have been testing the latest build of FlightGear
http://www.flightgear.org and for making a full evaluation I downloaded it all. It is HUGE! The world scenery is a 3 DVD set. IF you only want to see it working, the basic download for Windows is 230 MB, and includes San Francisco International Airport and a few representative aircraft. You can download the scenery "as you fly" with a special program that downloads it as needed.
Anyways, I was practicing using it first before going online, landings and navigation, but basically you only need to know how to take off and fly straight

So 2 days ago I finally decided to give it a try online. After registering here for my stats:
http://fgfs.i-net.hu I configured the startup commands from
http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Howto:_Multiplayer and finally made it work. If you are into flight simulators believe me is worth it, flying alone is boring, but with friends is very cool
Now since my multiplayer settings are hard coded in my startup script, I always fly online. My Callsign: Fallen-
See you there!

or it's just flying?
I believe someone might use the engine for building a combat simulator based on it, the difficult part is done already so, maybe someday
