This is one of my favorite site lately when it comes to watching live stream of gaming: www.quake-live.tv

Quote:
QuakeLive: your one stop for competitive Quake Live coverage!

Established by a dedicated team of community volunteers, QuakeLive.TV seeks to provide the Quake Live community with live video streaming and shoutcasting services, exclusive coverage and interviews with the premier players and teams, top-notch Videos-On-Demand (VODs), a comprehensive and detailed match catalog, a user submitted demo repository, and much more.

Well being a quake 3 fan did half the job to get me hooked on QLTV, the other half was simply the impressive gameplay featured in those broadcast!

And this is the main reason i didn't include this site among the other gaming stream sites on my previous post. On Justin.tv you can watch people playing and broadcasting games, but that certainly doesn't mean that they are any good at those games...

But with quake-live.tv you're not only watching a cool game being played, but you're watching people with skills playing it! And that makes a huge difference, both for entertainment and to learn some cool tricks about map control, efficient weapon usage&switch, baiting&traps and of course how to move through the maps. Here's an hint, if you ever been railed and wondered how the fuck did he made that shot, well you definitely want to tune in to quake-live.tv Eye-wink

Most, if not all, of what i've seen so far were dual 1vs1 tournament with commentators for the broadcast. You might think that the comments over the games would be annoying, but it's not the case. The guys know the game and the player scene, which is actually useful to someone who doesn't know the who's who of quakelive.

Their analysis of the players gameplay is also pretty useful, by pointing out the good and bad play, you can actually learn a bunch. Plus imo, they are pretty entertaining, even when shit happens, like a player QQ'ing over map choices or a sudden rage quit from a competitor.

http://www.quake-live.tv/tutorial.php ← helpful info about the site, but just a quick warning before you rush over there... personally right now i'm just like a junky waiting and watching their twitter feed for possible broadcast so i can get my dose of quakelive awesomeness.

Oh and if you don't already know the game featured here: Quakelive, take a look at it Smiling
