Dretch*Storm has now switched to 1.2beta (gpp1). So go get it and let's help the Trem devs release 1.2. Our DS mods will be ported to 1.2 once it's released.

UPDATE: make sure you delete all your configs before installing 1.2. Binds and variables have changed!

Get it now son! - http://tremulous.net/files/

Chessguy @ Fri, 12/04/2009 - 7:06pm · #3494 Ironically I was just thinking that I should start playing trem again, but then I said, "nah, I'll wait 'till 1.2 probably." Providence prevails!

liskey @ Sun, 12/06/2009 - 11:40am · #3495 It's empty. At the moment, Hamunaptra has been running for 221 minutes Smiling. Is the 0 timelimit and 8 maxclients deliberate for testing? Norf says the game isn't aimed to be balanced for 6 or fewer players, so you might want to up the limit.

Also, since DretchStorm doesn't show up in the 1.1 master list anymore, users probably think it has disappeared. You might want to stand up a dummy 1.1 server with 10 spectator slots and no player slots, with a message pointing them to the 1.2 download info.

FedoraMan @ Sun, 12/06/2009 - 3:00pm · #3496 Huh. I understand the need for a game to evolve, but it still seems a bit early to go 1.2 beta only.

Still, I'll be downloading it in a bit, so I guess it worked. Also, is it possible for 1.1 and 1.2 to coexist? Or is 1.2 backwards compatible?

Normally I'd think yes on the latter, but with configs/huds/etc. and the like being different, I thought I might ask.

ghostshell @ Sat, 12/12/2009 - 3:02pm · #3510 For those of you that don't want to upgrade to 1.2 (I have no idea why), I've put up a 1.1 server. It has no admins nor it will be supported. Just look for Dretch*Storm with your favorite 1.1 trem client.
