I started installing other games too, to review them on video when I get the chance, but it's so easy for me to make a flight video because I have it setup in a way that, I just start the thing and I press Shift + F8 whenever I feel like it and start recording. Like a video camera. So it's a live recording you can say.
I'm a Flightsimmer. Or a guy that loves air simulation. I have tested many flight simulation programs for airplanes and helicopters, many focus on the graphics detail, and others in realism. FlightGear focused first on realism now it's slowly (but steady) going for the graphics. After all, the simulation immersion happens when you see your surroundings and "believe" you are flying.
This video shows one of those small moves forward. The shader applied to this urban effect makes the satellite photos "pop up" like buildings, its really amazing from my point of view how they made it happen, I wonder what could be done with better looking satellite images. Anyways here is the video for your consideration. I hope u like it, rate it please

Holy snap, that is just amazing!
I wont lie, this game isn't really good looking (except for clouds, reflections and of course this Urban Effect), but it's obvious it will soon change.
Is it downloadable binary or you have to compile it yourself to get this effect?

The Harrier is a VSTOL (vertical short take off and landing) aircraft, that's why. It's like that for real. Amazing plane!

It's downloadable binary for mac and windows. Also some places make night binary builds of the newest code for windows and mac too. I'll find some links and post them here.
