One of the biggest selling (or downloading) points of this game are the unique visuals. The game takes place over water with a couple of tiny islands scattered around, to make up those graphics, the creator made multiple coloured squares that seem to be layered multiple times, they look great. In no time, bullets will be flying around every where, filling the screen with so many colourful shapes (a la Geometry Wars) that a baby would look away, plus those red laser beams coming from your enemies add some nice rave-party style. The song in the backround is really good and fits the visuals perfectly, and it never gets in the way, or unnoticeable, it'll always be there along with the roar of the (you name it) guns. The multiple modes with different controls are a nice addition too! There's one mode in wich you control with WASD and aim/shoot with the mouse, another mode where you move with WASD and shoot in different directions with IJKL, then another where WASD controls one ship (which shoots forwards forever) and IJKL controls another ship (ditto). The twist is that an unbreakable, strechable tether connects them together... with a turret in the center, so, if you want to shoot left, you have to move the right ship forwards and the left one back, thus rotating the tether and the turret left.
There is'nt much bad about this game. The simpler games get, the less there is to complain about. But there are two problems I have:
1. The extra modes are quite unnessesary.
The controls can be quite difficult, beyond ever-playing-that-mode-again difficult. The mode I ever really play is Mouse. It's probably the best way to enjoy Gunroar, I also don't mind Double-stick, but only because I liked those controls in Geometry Wars.

2. Learning curve is quite high.
Not by controls, but by gameplay. At first, it's going to be very difficult to dodge the amazing heap of bullets flying towards you, while shooting at your enemies, while understanding what the hell you're looking at onscreen. Especially in boss fights, but when you get the hand of it, you'll know exactly what to do, what parts to hit on an enemy, and how to be like me and get to level 3 without dying once.
