1 Comment Doukutsu Monogatari (Cave Story) is one of the few games that are literally flawless. The 8-bit graphics and the retro songs go together like peas and carrots. The writing is as good as any of the greatest movies (though there may be some mistranslations). Many of the characters are memorable, especially Balrog and Quote. The story itself is great and will last you quite a long time. Cave Story even balances the difficulty level perfectly. What's even more amazing is that it was all made by one person!
If you enjoy Metroid/Megaman style games, or just free games in general, then there's no consequence in downloading this masterpiece!
